Face + Neck: Exact Usage

Core principle: reduce active overload. Salicylic, azelaic, glycolic and home masks must not become a daily acid buffet.

Morning Face + Neck

  1. Cleanse with Simple Refreshing Facial Wash. Massage gently for 45-60 seconds, then rinse.
  2. Pat dry. Apply Vitamin C 16% on Mon/Tue/Thu/Fri/Sat only. Use 3–5 drops (start with ~4) on dry face.
  3. Wait about 60 seconds.
  4. Apply moisturizer. Use Re'equil Oil-Free if oily, Minimalist B5 if dry/tight.
  5. Apply sunscreen on face, front neck, sides of neck, and exposed collar area.
  6. Apply SPF lip balm.

WedSun No Vitamin C. Cleanser + moisturizer + sunscreen only.

Night Face Active Rotation

DayDo thisImportant wait / avoid
MonSalicylic Acid 2% on nose/T-zone only.Apply after cleansing and drying. Wait 5-10 min, then moisturize.
TueAzelaic Acid 10% on face + neck if tolerated.Thin layer. Moisturize after.
WedRest night.Moisturizer only.
ThuGlycolic Acid 8% face + neck.Thin layer. Wait 10–15 min, or moisturize immediately if skin feels dry/tight.
FriRest night.Moisturizer only.
SatAzelaic Acid 10% on face only (no neck).Skip neck unless fully comfortable.
SunRest night.Moisturizer only.

Neck Rules

  • Bring cleanser, moisturizer, and sunscreen down to neck every morning.
  • Azelaic on Tuesday if tolerated. Glycolic on Thursday only.
  • No salicylic on neck unless there are actual bumps/acne.
  • For horizontal lines: moisturize + sunscreen + reduce long phone-neck posture. Creams won't erase them fully.

Nose Blackheads / Whiteheads

  1. Cleanse at night.
  2. Dry face fully.
  3. Apply salicylic acid only on nose/T-zone.
  4. Wait 5-10 minutes.
  5. Moisturize.

Do not aggressively scrub or squeeze. Temporary smoothness, long-term clownery.

Trimming / Shaving Day

Unconditional rule — no exceptions: on any trim or shave night, use cleanser + moisturizer only. No salicylic, no glycolic.
  • Azelaic may resume the next calm scheduled azelaic night (Tue or Sat).
  • AHA underarm roll-on: wait 24 h after trimming/shaving underarms.
  • If the trim lands on Monday (salicylic) or Thursday (glycolic), skip that active for that week — do NOT double up the following week.

Body Care — Bath to Night

Diagnosis: upper arms = mild KP / follicular plugging; back = KP + occasional pimple tendency. The goal is smoother texture, not overnight plastic skin. Read this section top to bottom — it follows the order you actually do things.
Never over-exfoliate one area: do not stack SA wash + lactic acid + hard scrubbing on the same area in the same day. No lactic acid on sweaty, dirty, or irritated skin.
Bath frequency: daily preferred, minimum 5×/week; always bathe after gym or heavy sweat. On no-bath days, still apply Urea/lotion to the inner elbow fold at night on clean skin.
Urea — one product, three roles: (a) post-bath KP lotion on upper arms + back, (b) outer-elbow night step after Lacsoft, (c) inner-elbow-fold daily moisturizer. Apply post-bath Urea to the upper arm only — stop above the elbow; the elbow gets its dedicated Lacsoft → Urea step at night. On lactic nights, skip the optional post-lactic Urea if you already applied Urea after the bath (unless skin feels dry again).

① During bath

SA wash is used only on scheduled/sweaty days. On a plain indoor day: general wash only.

General wash

  1. Remove watch, rings, bracelets.
  2. Wet body with normal/lukewarm water for 1-2 minutes. Avoid very hot water.
  3. Use general body wash on full body. Massage gently 60-90 seconds.

Body wash: use Pears Bright Glow until finished, then switch to Dove Deeply Nourishing as the daily base.

Targeted SA wash (sweaty + KP zones)

On scheduled/sweaty days, after the general wash, use Minimalist 2% Salicylic + LHA Body Wash on target zones only:

  1. Sweaty zones: underarms, feet, chest if sweaty, back if sweaty, neck/shoulder folds if sweaty.
  2. Upper arms (KP): coin-sized amount, massage outer upper arms gently 20-30 seconds.
  3. Back (KP): 1-2 coin-sized amounts on a long-handled silicone back scrubber; cover shoulders, upper back, shoulder blades, middle back with light pressure for 30-45 seconds.
  4. Let SA wash sit 60-90 seconds, then rinse completely. Never full-body daily; never a 5-minute mask.

Rinse order

② After bath

Apply within 3 minutes of towel-drying, while skin is still slightly damp.

General lotion

  1. Apply Vaseline Daily Brightening Body Lotion on arms, wrists, back of hands, knees, exposed/dry legs and feet. Skip chest and back if acne/oily-prone — the back gets Be Bodywise Urea 10% instead.
  2. Roughly one coin-sized amount per arm, pea-sized extra per elbow, one to two coin-sized amounts per leg.

KP urea (back & upper arms)

  1. Apply Be Bodywise Urea 10% within 3-5 minutes of towel-drying.
  2. Upper arms: pea to coin-sized amount per arm. Massage 20-30 seconds.
  3. Back: 1-2 coin-sized amounts total, using the back-of-hand method or a lotion applicator.
  4. Wait 3-5 minutes before wearing a clean cotton T-shirt.

Elbows

Outer elbow: 5 nights/week

  1. Clean/dry elbows.
  2. Apply pea-sized Lacsoft 12% only on the dark/rough outer elbow.
  3. Wait 5-10 minutes.
  4. Apply pea-sized Be Bodywise Urea 10% on top.
  5. If very dry, seal with a tiny amount of petroleum jelly 2-3 nights/week max.

Inner elbow fold: daily

  1. Use Urea 10% or Vaseline lotion only.
  2. Apply a rice-grain to pea-sized amount.
  3. Keep thin. Do not rub hard.
  4. Lacsoft here only 1 night/week initially; max 2 if no irritation.

Chair-armrest friction: place a soft cloth or padded cover on armrests you use frequently; avoid leaning full body weight on bare elbows — mechanical friction undoes the Lacsoft/Urea work.

Pre-event (T-14): reduce outer-elbow Lacsoft to 3 nights/week from T-14 onwards. See Salon Timeline for the full countdown.

Glycolic backup: only once/week on the outer elbow after 4-6 weeks if there is a plateau. Skip Lacsoft that night. Never on the inner fold.

Arm SPF

  1. If going out, apply SPF 50 PA++++ body sunscreen on forearms, wrists, and backs of hands 15 minutes before sun exposure (about 1.5-2 finger lengths per forearm + hand).

Reapplication and non-bath-day details are under Daytime / Situational below.

③ Night actives

Elbows (per weekly schedule)

Lactic acid 5%

AreaFrequencySteps
Upper armsTue + Sat nightClean dry skin → thin layer → wait 5-10 min → optional Urea if dry.
BackThu night (1x/wk initially; →2x/wk max after 4 weeks if tolerated)Clean dry skin → thin layer using applicator/back-of-hand → wait 5-10 min → optional Urea if dry.

Do not apply lactic acid on sweaty/dirty skin. Do not stack hard scrubbing + SA wash + lactic acid on the same area.

Lactic acid boundary: apply on the upper arms only — stop above the elbow. The outer elbow gets its own Lacsoft → Urea step. Never let lactic and Lacsoft hit the same patch the same night.

Busy-night sequencing (Tue / Thu / Sat): zones are independent so order is flexible, but a safe sequence is: lactic on arms (stop at elbow) → wait 5–10 min; during the wait, Lacsoft on outer elbows → wait 5–10 min → Urea on elbows; AHA underarm last → let dry 3–5 min.

AHA underarm roll-on

④ Daytime / Situational

Morning antiperspirant

Arm / wrist sunscreen — reapplication & non-bath days

Gym day

Outdoor / humid day

For event-day body timing (engagement/wedding), see the Salon Timeline section — that is the single home for all event/T-minus steps.

Expected progress: 2-4 weeks — slightly smoother. 6-8 weeks — noticeably smoother arms, fewer back bumps. 12-16 weeks — better texture; dark follicular dots fade slowly.
When to adjust (body): if dryness/tightness/itching starts, reduce SA-wash and lactic frequencies; if back pimples increase, pause back lactic acid and keep urea light. (For a full irritation reset, see Hard Rules + Fallback.)

Hair + Beard: Exact Usage

Shampoo + Conditioner Timeline

  1. Wet hair fully for 30-60 seconds.
  2. Use ₹1-₹2 coin-sized shampoo mainly on scalp.
  3. Massage front scalp, crown, sides, back with fingertips for 45-60 seconds. No nails.
  4. If Minimalist anti-dandruff shampoo: leave 2-3 minutes, then rinse.
  5. Rinse shampoo 60-90 seconds.
  6. Apply ₹1 coin-sized conditioner only on mid-lengths/ends, not scalp.
  7. Leave 1-2 minutes. Rinse fully.

Mon + Thu shampoo + conditioner — always use conditioner after shampoo on both shampoo days, on mid-lengths/ends only. Other days: water rinse only if needed. Do not use Pears as default hair wash.

Clay Wax Usage

Can be applied any time — after bath OR as an evening re-apply without re-washing. Buildup limit: 1 non-wash re-application on a given day is fine; 2+ consecutive days without rinsing is not. If hair feels stiff, crunchy, or coated, rinse before reapplying.

  1. Towel dry gently. Do not rub aggressively.
  2. Let hair become 80-100% dry. Wait 10-20 minutes or blow dry cool/medium for 1-2 minutes.
  3. Take pea-sized clay wax.
  4. Rub between palms 10-15 seconds until it almost disappears.
  5. Apply back/middle first, then top/crown, sides, front last.
  6. Style with fingers for hair-up texture. Use comb only for cleaner formal look.

Do not apply clay wax on wet hair. Do not sleep with heavy wax buildup.

Itchy/flaky scalp on a non-shampoo day: water rinse only (no shampoo), style once dry, or skip styling that day.

Beard Care

  • Comb beard daily regardless of oil — on non-oil days comb dry, brief and gentle.
  • Use jojoba oil 3-4x/week after bath on slightly damp beard.
  • Use 2–3 drops. More oil just makes you look like you lost a fight with a samosa.
  • Trim every 4-5 days; clean neckline every 3-4 days.
  • Moustache should not cover upper lip.

Target Beard + Barber Instruction

Target: low short boxed beard. Cheeks 4-6 mm, jaw/chin 8-10 mm, moustache 5-7 mm.

Keep it as a low short boxed beard. Don't create a high cheek line. Keep cheeks shorter around 4-6 mm. Keep jaw and chin slightly fuller around 8-10 mm. Clean the neckline but don't take it too high. Keep moustache neat above the lip.

Avoid: high full beard, long cheek beard, carved artificial cheek line, chinstrap, clean shave close to events, minoxidil before engagement.
